Music Therapy

What is Music Therapy?

Music therapy is the intentional use of music to support the health, well-being, and development of people by Certified Music Therapists (MTA*). Grounded in person-centred care, a variety of active and receptive interventions, both verbal and nonverbal, are developed to meet client needs and preferences. Music therapy utilizes clinical assessments, treatment plans, and goals and objectives to guide the therapeutic process.
